Kerala Travel Mart 2010, the sixth edition of the biennial B2B tourism event, was held from September 23 to 26 at Le Meridien Convention Centre, Kochi. This edition saw a record-breaking participation with over 1,200 international and domestic buyers from nearly 50 countries and more than 240 exhibitors from across Kerala. The Mart highlighted Kerala’s unique mix of tourism experiences—Ayurveda, houseboats, backwaters, hill stations, heritage stays, and more—positioning the state as a year-round destination. Special focus was given to emerging sectors like medical tourism, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and monsoon tourism.

KTM 2010 reinforced Kerala’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable tourism development, with the Kerala Tourism Department actively promoting the Responsible Tourism initiative launched in selected destinations. Buyers were also taken on familiarization tours to explore Kerala’s hidden gems, helping foster authentic connections with local experiences. The Mart continued to serve as a vital platform for generating business, strengthening partnerships, and shaping Kerala’s global image as one of the most attractive and culturally rich travel destinations in Asia.
